Raging Raven

This "project" began as a sketch I did of Octopus during a lesson, purely out of boredom, and because I was in a Metal Gear mood. After finishing Octopus, I moved onto Raven, and this is how it turned out.

Face was lightly outlined in 2H pencil, before going over and adding shading and detail with 0.05, 0.1, and 0.5 fineliner ink pen. The black shading for her hair, around the top of her head, was coloured in photoshop. It was simply too exhausting a task to do in a pen with a 0.5 width tip!

Text was written out in 2H pencil, before gone over and embellished with 0.05 fineliner ink pen.

Backdrop was brushed with watercolour.

Overall piece was adjusted in photoshop a little (the scan made the background drips almost invisible), and a few dark scanning patches of the paper were removed.

I'm not happy with the scan-quality of the background drips. The paper was a little warped because of the watercolour being applied to the drips scanned really... well... warpy.
